We are nearing the end of the national student vote on how higher education should be funded. Over 1300 Trinity students have taken part in this historic vote, the first of its kind to take place across many institutions.
Students still have the chance over the weekend or on monday to cast their votes online at www.usivote.com
Following USI's annual Congress, the decision was taken to organise a nationwide student vote. The results for each college will then be taken to a Special Congress on wednesday. The result of the vote at Congress will then decide USI's new policy on third level funding, giving the incoming USI President and his team a clear mandate.
Students are being asked to rank the following option in order of preference:
- Graduate tax.
- 100% exchequer funded.
- 100% upfront fees.
- Student contribution
- Student loan scheme.
- None of the above.
Go to www.usivote.com for info on the options and to cast your vote.
