19th August 2013 - Trinity College Students’ Union (TCDSU) would like to welcome students who have been offered a place in Trinity College Dublin for the next academic year and wish to highlight the important role that the Students’ Union plays in their college experience.
Tom, Jack, Stephen, Leanna and Seán play a different role in making sure you get the best support and services possible. These supports and services range from our SU Shops, The University Times newspaper, academic and non-academic (accommodation, finance, mental health) support systems, and last but not least, our Ents Officer ensures you get the most out of college through class parties, weekly club nights, concerts and student orientated events.
TCDSU President, Tom Lenihan, commented, “Right now students are probably celebrating after getting their CAO offers, but soon enough they will realise that they’re entering a new phase of their lives.
“While university is going to be a fantastic four years of your life, we want to remind students that when it’s not smooth sailing we’ll be here to help and when you just want to have a good time we’re here for you too. It’s a great thing to know about all the services, support systems and social side of the SU so you can make the most out of it for the next four years.”
The five officers work in House Six in front square, which is also home to the union’s front office and one of the SU’s shops.
