Executives
The Executive bodies in the Union are the Administrative Executive and the Campaigns Executive. They work in parallel to further the aims and principles of the Union. In general, they help to coordinate the Union on a day-to-day basis and provide for transparency of the actions of the Union’s Officers.
These bodies usually work by consensus and will discuss any matter that could be considered as work for the Students’ Union. A lot of the planning of everything the Union does from representation to services provided to campaigns is done at this level.
The Campaigns Executive
The Campaigns Executive’s main duty is to assist the President, the Sabbatical Officers and the Part-Time Officers with all of the campaigns the Union takes part in. The Executive meets once a week to plan campaigns and make recommendations to Council about the campaigns the Union runs. It plans both the standing and ad-hoc campaigns of the Union.
The Campaigns Executive is also tasked with maintain and building links with outside bodies to assist with the Union’s campaigns. The Campaigns Executive also has the power to set up sub-committees to work on specific campaigns, on which any student in Trinity may take part.
Another role this body has is to deal with any issues that students face, especially students in the areas covered in the remits of all of the Part-Time Officers like international students and mature students.
The Chair of this Executive is the SU President, Rory Dunne and the Secretary is Owen Bennett, the Communications Officer. The members of the Campaigns Executive are:

The Administrative Executive
The Administrative Executive meets fortnightly to discuss the service strategy of the Union and to review the finances of the Union. Both the Sabbatical Officer’s accounts and the overall Union accounts are monitored here to ensure money is well spent and in the interests of the students of Trinity.
The Administrative Executive also facilitates communication between the Faculty Convenors and the Sabbatical Officers. This provides for the dual roles of informing the Sabbatical Officers of issues at a faculty level, and to assist the Faculty Convenors with their jobs.
All of the Union services are up for discussion here, from representation strategy to the commercial services the Union provides. Here, the Convenors also make recommendations to the Sabbatical Officers, especially the Education Officer, about academic policy.
